"To the Fandoms of Old"

It's been years since the first Fire Emblem (first in the US, seventh in the series) game came out. The only reason we actually bought it was because Roy and Marth were successfully featured in Super Smash Brothers Melee, despite the fact that they weren't in the Fire Emblem game we just bought.
Regardless,
While I was revisiting an old LJ community (link_x_zelda), I decided to take a chance and jump to fireemblem. I was not disappointed.
Aside from an old announcement that Nintendo / Intelligent Systems finally released Seima no Kouseki (or Sacred Stones) character portraits (and I was very giddy upon seeing them), there wasn't much in the area of news that surprised me, yet just being subject to anything related to my fandoms brought back memories and feelings of wonderous days gone by. To say the least, I had a lot on my mind that night.
Here's to the Fandoms of Old that never die.
