"Knitting Soothes the Troubled Spirit"

I tried my hand at knitting today. My mom picked this up as a hobby some years ago and had since dropped it because of time constraints, but she picked it back up last week. So I decided to try my hand at it. Aside from typing and webdesigning, I really hadn't used my hands for hobbies anytime lately.
It requires some concentration, but its repetitive handiwork allows me time to sit back and think while progressing with my hands. So I began to think.
One thought reminded me of Aden, one of those "single entity" people. He tried his hand at crochet and, according to his friend's mother, hit it off with a bucket-load of natural talent.
One of his statements ran along the lines of: "I guess if I ever run out of luck in life, I can always fall back on crocheting."
